#FIFA 21 REVIEW UPGRADE#
I think the player pick upgrade SBCs were a great addition, as well as the themed WLs (albeit only towards end of cycle). I know I don't have to play them all, but there is that feeling of falling behind if I don't. I didn't like objectives being placed in Friendlies and several changes like that were clearly designed to boost player engagement figures (forcing us to play different modes if we want both objectives and rewards) for corporate purposes, rather than to boost the user experience. I'd add some downsides in the butchering of League SBCs and the removal of long-term player SBCs (especially the permanent expensive SBCs which you could grind for all game). Rivals going to 30 games was a double edged sword. Red picks were fine after TOTS but feel the concept needs updating since 99% of TOTW is irrelevant. Icon choices from swaps were poor, guarantee’d SBCs were either of poor quality or horrendously priced (3m in the last month of the game?!), roulette SBC’s were highly priced for the odds. Good viable players in every position for the major leagues, some absolute stars if you can link them in the lesser leagues. Limited in the earlier days but improved considerably. Pace being King I can live with, but the bridge move got very annoying very fast. Better than 20’s bus parking simulator, but work to be done. Some SBCs had bizarre pricing but overall very good. How you think this iteration will be remembered.Ĭontent: 9/10. Is your UT better that it has been before? Any crazy pack luck? Maybe you’ve really enjoyed using a different league, or discovered some absolute gems from the Portuguese NOS. As the Sun sets on yet another edition of FIFA, how do we rate 21?
